We are getting an mq authorization error when the WMQI user try to access the Control Center. This problem started after the MQ 5.3/CSD4 Upgrade. Any security update for 5.3? If any user has 'mqm' group can able to connect to CC. But we don't want to give 'mqm' authorization to every one. We would like to give only mqbrdevt, mqbrasgn, mqbrops and
mqbrtpic permissions.
Every one connected to queue manager because SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN has MUSR_MQADMIN for MCA user. Also we have same user for queue manager server connection channel.
BIP1354S: An authorization error occurred when the Control Center accessed MQSeries object CONFIGQMGR
MQSeries has raised an authorization exception while connecting to the MQSeries queue manager or opening one of the MQSeries queues used by the Control Center. The name of the MQSeries object in question is CONFIGQMGR. The Control Center is unable to communicate with the Configuration Manager.Check that the user name under which you are logged on is a member of one or more of the following operating system security groups: mqbrdevt, mqbrasgn, mqbrops, mqbrtpic. If the
problem reoccurs, check that the groups listed have authority to open the
SYSTEM.BROKER.CONFIG.QUEUE and SYSTEM.BROKER.CONFIG.REPLY queues. For more information on this error see the MQSeries Application Programming Reference manual, codes 2035 and 2063.
May be setmqaut command works. But why it happend after upgrade? _________________ Thanks,

Hi,
I'm having this problem after an upgrade from version MQ version 5.3 to version 6 on windows. I've given as much authority as I can to the user that I'm using to connect (i.e. it is a member of mqm, mqbrasgn, mqbrdevt, mqbrops, mqbrkrs and mqbrtpic). I have also done a setmqaut on the Queue Manager, giving +all authority to the mqm group, but I'm still getting this error : Has anyone any ideas please ?

Issue REFRESH SECURITY on the queue manager.
And then upgrade to WMB v6. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
