We want to create a new execution group,
and we try to use "mqsicreateexecutiongroup" command.
Cut & Paste of the manual : "Purpose -
Use the mqsicreateexecutiongroup command
to add a new execution group to a broker.
Also, manual says to use "-i -p -q" where
-i specifies the IP of the machine where Cfg Mgr is.
What has this command to do with Configuration Manager ?
( yes, I have seen it also says "You must start the Configuration Manager before you can issue this command" ... but still want to know what is done at Cfg Mgr )
Thanks ! |

Umm.
Every configuration change that is done to a broker has to be done by way of the Configuration Manager.
Are you likewise surprised to learn that mqsideploy needs to know how to talk to the configmgr?
You can't do anything in the Toolkit without connecting to the ConfigMgr, so why would it be different outside the Toolkit? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Yes, I understand we are doing a "configuration" change,
and always need to connect to "configuration manager" ... ( )
Just was asking for some more detail, for what is stored, where,
I dont know ...
Cheers, Jeff. |

What do you mean, "what is stored"?
There's also the option with all the commands that talk to the ConfigMgr to use a .configmgr file (which is what is stored in the Toolkit as the "domain connection file") instead of specifying the information directly. You can also specify more advanced options, like SSL, that way. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
