The environment is as follows:( WMB version 6.0)
a broker on unix with the fp03 and the config on windows with fp03. toolkit on same server as config manager with fp02. i am able to create a domain connect on the window box.

i have now installed toolkit on workstation(user01) and am not able to connect ( permissions error). I am getting the error below trying to add an acl entry on config box. The mq logs for qmanager are not showing any error code ( no entry for that matter) . nothing in eventviewer on windows either. user01 is a member of mqm and mqbrkrs. running dspmqmaut on system queue and qmanager for this user shows all permissions.

What am i missing?

BIP1046E: Unable to connect with the Configuration Manager (LMQ6NMQI).

The utility encountered a problem while attempting to connect to the Configurati

Ensure that the correct connection parameters have been supplied to the utility.
Also ensure that the Configuration Manager's queue manager is running and that
the current user is able to put messages to its SYSTEM.BROKER.CONFIG.QUEUE. If t
his error text includes an MQ reason code, look up the meaning behind the error
in the Application Programming Reference guide and proceed as appropriate.

Resolved.
I was logginging onto the Config server as a domain user and I needed to use a local user to run the command. Silly me.

The only user that has any access to the ConfigMgr to create ACLs immediately after the ConfigMgr is created is the ConfigMgr service user.

If this is a local user, you need to log in locally. If this is a domain user, you need to log in as the domain user.
