Hi All,

I had a case in which a queue manager restarted with many persistent messages.

I noticed that when first accessing a queue with the persistent messages MQ starts loading the messages to the queue
1. the log files contain AMQ7234 which indicates how many messages were read
2. the MQOPEN is blocked until all the messages are loaded.
3. other queues function normally


this doesn't appear to be a log replay, as the queue manager was shut down normally

does anyone know why this loading is needed? why does it happen only after the queue is opened?
