I never done MQ-JDBC connections, i am not able to get right document from net.How to implement it ?all docs i seen is J2ee-Jdbc stuffs.
Can any one send me..necessary docs regarding
1.How to implement MQ-JDBC connections?
My requirment is to get messages from Queue to Db2 database using JDBC.
I need first to do in Windows, then in Unix.

thanks in advance.

a) Write a Java application that reads a queue (possibly using the native interface if you're not in a J2EE environment) and writes to a database using DB2 JDBC

b) Buy MWB & write a flow MQInput -> Database

Documentation in abundance available on the IBM site.

Hi,
Its presently running using message flow, i mean message from Queue will write to db2 using ESQl in compute node.
But i seen so much CPU usage and performance problem here.
So i am thinking of implementing JDBC connectors to read messages from Q and put in Db2.

So questions are, Is its a good solution?
Is JDBC connector is free of cost?Present set up only WMB 6.0 adn DB2 with MQ 6.0.

Number of messages going to database per day is around 100k+.

Any good solution for this case?

Define "performance problem" - what figures are you getting? What tuning activities have you already tried (so we don't go over covered ground)? Both for the flow and for the DB2?

I believe IBM supply a free JDBC connector with the product, but it's been a while. Google is your friend here I think. Also I don't know what features the various JDBCs support.

(And I don't believe any of them will pull a message from a queue and put it into a database without code)

Each message 1k or 100Mb? It certainly doesn't sound like a lot in volume terms.

If I'd got WMB & your requirements I'd use a flow.

its to see if you have 2 MQ-JDBC connections or two of them

Hi Vitor,Thanks for ur reply.
1.Message coming to db is a copy of message going to diff message flows...As per customer requirement..its act as a back up in db2.So as per ur question Size will vary from message to message..but all are less than 4 MB:).

2.Can u send me a link where i can get free JDBC adaptors...For my undertanding not to implemnt in Project:) becos as per diff Techies opnion as per present load , message flow itself ok.
3.Why performance issue?.The problem is that specific message flow only taking lots of CPU ..i mean 2-4% additional than all other flows running in PROD machine and also from Broker Staistics also, we are getting some time more than 10 sec to process a single message ie violating the SLA with client.

I don't think IBM will provide JDBC Adaptor for free.

If you have performance issue with Specific Message flow then try to find the cause of issue. Like is it because of your flow or request message?
