Hi everyone,
I'm going to install WMB v6 on AIX and curious to know about how we can determine the size of table space required for a broker db and configmgr db.
(I'm going to use DB2 as a broker db and cloudscape as a configmgr db.)
I know the size really depends on the situation but appreciate if there's a guideline or something.
Is there anybody who is failiar with this issue?
Cheers,

You have no control over the v6 ConfigMgr database at all. You should not even think of it AS a database - it's an internal configuration repository.
I do not believe that there are any published guidelines for sizing the broker database. As a rule of thumb, it's generally going to be fairly small - but it's going to depend on how many flows and execution groups you use and on what use of what features of pub/sub you use. Lots of retained publications = lots of DB disk space.
If you put the Broker tablespace on a 1 gig partition, you're likely to be okay. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Well, how does IBM think about it?
If there're no guidlines for the sizing issue, how can we cope with that?
I think we should require IBM to show some concrete examples, even if the size is small. (It has to be documented.) |
