Can I install and use MQ V6.0 on Windows XP HOME Operating system.

Though No where I've seen in IBM doc the word XP HOME but just wondering.
My PC is 64bit. If I install Win XP Proffessional 64Bit, is MQ 6.0 installable on that?(MQ 6.0 trial version only...I don't wanna buy licence for just learning )

I don't think you can use XP Home.

MQ v6 on Windows is not 64 bit. You should be able to install it on a 64bit platform.

Looking for "free" stuff now.

Well, MQ System Requirements for WebSphere MQ V6 Linux on x86 platform is http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006270

Now I found certain links for free Enterprise Linux OS.

http://www.oracle.com/technologies/linux/index.html (see on Right side in RED: Free Download)
Both OS and MQ is available in 64 bit.

Q.1 Is MQ installable on this enterprise linux?

Another link

http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/suse-linux-enterprise-version-10-available-for-download.html not sure If I found right link

I'd appreciate if somebody can guide me where to get relevant link where in I can download linux compatible with MQ. Free is better but I am ready to spend minimal amount too. This is purely personal requirement and not of any Corp.

You are right.

I installed 32bit MQ for windows on Windows 64bit Xp Professional.
So far so good. I created a qmgr, channels and everything seems to be ok. I'll keep this thread updated if I see any different results.

I'm lost on Javaâ„¢ and JMS Client for 64 bit.
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006266

How specifically MQ would be impacted by not having support for Javaâ„¢ and JMS Client for 64 bit!!
