The MQSeries Administrator will be a subject matter expert in IBM?s MQSeries (IBM WebSphere MQ) product. This role will facilitate both customer facing and infrastructure projects. He or she will also be expected to possess general knowledge of multiple technology domains and contribute his or her ideas as part of an Application Infrastructure team.
Requirements:
Duration is 6 moths Contract to Hire
Must have Excellent Communications Skills!!!
*Required IBM Certified Systems Administrator ? WebSphere MQ
*Required 3+ years experience with MQ Engineering and administration.
*Required ability to perform WebSphere MQ administration for a distributed environment hosted on Sun Solaris and Windows platform implementations in an HA environment configured with MSCS and Veritas
Must have hands-on experience with MQSeries installation, configuration,
monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Accountable for the success of all WMQ infrastructure assignments, communicates progress, issues and risks.
Develops written plans and provides estimates for work assigned.
Works with other operations areas in resolving issues impacting the production WMQ environment.
Works with IBM Support to resolve issues pertaining to the WMQ infrastructure.
*Responsible for enforcing WebSphere MQ best practices, standards and processes.
*Required experience in UNIX and Windows server administration and support
in an HA clustered environment.
Required ability to provide 24x7 WebSphere MQ on-call support and support
changes to MQ Queue managers in a clustered environment.
*Required experience and strong understanding of MQ queue manager
clustering. (full repository Qmgr, partial repository Qmgr, difference between
traditional distributed queue vs. clustered queue) (know the difference in
behavior of MQ cluster channels and simple sender/receiver channels)
*Required experience with WebSphere MQ OAM security management and scripts.
*Required experience with troubleshooting of TCP/IP intercommunication
within zoned-network architecture.
*Required experience with complete life-cycle of MQ inter-application integration.
*Required familiarity with Veritas Cluster Server and MS Cluster software and configurations.
Must be able to utilize logical and analytical approaches to solving problems.
*Required ability to produce detailed architecture and supporting documentation.
Excellent verbal communication skills required.
*Required advanced experience and ability to create/modify UNIX shell
scripts and Windows .BAT command files.
Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to lead and be led.
Good personal organization, productivity, and time management skills.
Preferred experience with Java and C++ application development utilizing
WebSphere MQ messaging adaptation.
? Preferred experience with MQ in relation to pub/sub messaging and message brokering.
? Preferred qualification of IBM certified WebSphere MQ Specialist or Solutions Expert.
? Experience with developing Java/J2EE Messaging integration as well as
multi-platform specialized C/C++ messaging components.
? Experience with WebLogic and/or WebSphere Application Server administration is beneficial.
? Will be responsible for additional Infrastructure Engineer duties such as
change management, capacity management, performance tuning, object security, daily vendor management, proactive monitoring, root-cause analysis, product evaluations, and interdepartmental MQ consulting.
? Ability to understand how features such as syncpoint, XA, persistence,
logging, and triggering affect MQ messaging.
? Ability to architect and implement pub/sub and point-to-point messaging models.
? Deliver world-class, large-scale, global, and secure mission-critical messaging solutions. |
