What is the different "./mqsiprofile" vs ". ./mqsiprofile", i don't underestand.

It's got nothing to do with that.
Unix always runs every command in a new shell, pretty much. The "." is shorthand for the "source" command, and runs the given command in the current shell. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
