Hi MQers,

I have a question concerning the different behaviour between OS/390(V 2.1) and HPUX(maybe V 5.1).

A customer wants to migrate from HPUX to OS/390, using client connection in both cases.

He told me, he had never great problems in the old environment with 2042, for the QMGR could 'clean up' the IPPROCS > 0 after a while (maybe minutes).

Afaik, in OS/390 you have no chance:
You must clean up this situation manually.

Am I wrong ?

The best idea is to issue MQCLOSE after you are done with the Queue so 2042 could be avoided.
