hi,
I have a small problem. I am trying to install the Broker Toolkit for version 6 on a new installation of windows XP (SP2) on a new HP 8340 laptop, but the installation process doesn’t get very far, after the install shield has run for about 20 sec. it just crashes no exceptions or errors, it just disappears. The same thing happens when I try to install version 5, I have installed many toolkits but this problem just puzzles me.

I'm betting it doesn't crash.
I'm betting it's unable to start the java installer... check for program lockdowns or virus software configuration problems.

nope no errors in the Event log.
Yeah it might be the java installer, we are looking into that right now, we have tried to disable all the services and anti virus software, without any luck so fare :\ but we are not quite sure how to look for the program lockdowns that you mention. |

hmmm I found a work-around, I used the "setup.exe -console" command and installed it that way. Now I just have to hope that I will never experience that strange problem again.
