Hi All,

With reference to the quoted statements (pls see below) in Section 5.1.2 (Creating a domain connection) from the WBIMB Basics Redbook SG24-7090-00 - June 2004 edition ...

"You can create one or more broker domains on a system, but each broker domain must have its own Configuration Manager."

"Multiple broker domain connections can be defined in the toolkit to both local and remote Configuration Managers."

"Multiple Domain connections can be created in the Message Brokers Toolkit, and the same Server Project can be used to store them, but the Connection names must differ."

my issues ....

I tried creating another broker domain using the same configuration manager but a warning is displayed as 'Specified connection parameters already defined in the workspace' ...and the NEXT button is disabled disallowing me to go to the option for changing the connection name.

My Query - On a windows system we cannot create more than one cofiguration manager ...can somebody clear the ambiguity in the above statement. I guess it is not possible but still the query ....Is it possible to create multiple configuration managers on the same sytem (physical machine)

I tried the same configmgr but with a different listener port but that did not also help #%$&

Can somebody clear the ambiguity in the above quoted statements ....and help me with the procedure for creating multiple broker domains with its own configuration manager on the same physical machine/system.

Thanks,
Prakash

Multiple configmgrs allowed in V6.0.

You assign a name to each configmgr. If you don't specify the name then ConfigMgr is assigned.

"broker domain" == "configuration manager".

In WBIMB v5, you can only create one configmgr per machine.

But you can talk to many configmgrs from the same Toolkit in v5 and v6.
