Hi,

( 1) We are upgrading our z/OS from V1R4 to V1R7. However, all our MQ mgrs remain at V531. Can you advise me whether is there any action which I need to take for MQ V531 to be started in z/OS V1R7?

you should make sure MQ picks up the newest tcpip and le code (if you do not have automatic re-linking of the MQ modules you must do manually). this depends on the setup of your maintenance environment.
I think this is described in the program directory.

in addition, you should check with IBM if there is special maintenance for MQ531 required
