Will there be any issues if the Mainframe runs MQ 6.0 and talks with Solaris and LInux machines running version 7?
Thank you in advance. |

No issues. Why do you think there will be an issue?. MQ version 7 includes some new features. If you want you can use those additional features but it wont collapse the existsing infrastructure.
Thanks. |

Just wanted to make sure that they are compatable. The Solaris and Linux are now at 5.3 unsupported, so trying to decide to upgrade to 6 or 7. |

When you are migrating, its better to migrate to the latest version, i.e., version 7.
At some point of time MQ version 6 will also going to be not a supported version(not in the near future). Look into this conversation more more info on version 6 support.
Thanks. |
