Folks,
In the back of my head I remember that Websphere MQ V5.3 (ML8) will only support queue files up to a maximum size of 2 Gigabytes independently from the limitations of the underlying file system (JFS2), which may support larger files.
Unfortunately, I don't remember where I read that.
Can anyone confirm the above statement ? I am a bit concerned when it comes to the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE of a single central queue manager (hub and spoke architecture) in a large cluster with most of the channels pointing over WAN lines which might be slow from time to time. The average message volume would be about the size of 10-15 GBytes per day (through this single queue).
Cheers and thanks,
Felix |

Queue file sizes at 5.3 are not constrained by WMQ. _________________ MQSeries.net helps those who help themselves.. |

But you may have to do OS level things to enable large file support. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Yes, I'm aware of that. I thought there was a limit on the internal file handling routines... I'm glad, it's not ;-)
Thanks,
