Hi,

we have about 800 aktive Connections to 24 Q Managers. These connections needs (with base operation system) 19 GB of memory.
Is there a way to reduce the memory consumption ? What are MQ doing with 19 GB ?

Thanks

Rico

Hi,

the amqcrsta process(es) consumes the memory, is there a way to setup how much memory will be used for a connection ?

Hi

amqcrsta means

TCP/IP-invoked channel responder. TCPIP Receiver channel & Client Connection (svrconn). Each one will be represented by an amqcrsta process

If there are 5 channels then 5 amqcrsta will be there.

Thanks and Regards

24 queue manager is a LOT of queue managers, why do you need so many?
Are these applications running on a different machine, or are they running on the AIX box (if so, you should be using BINDINGS mode instead of CLIENT mode).
One big impact on storage consumption is the number of OPEN queues, if you can modifying the applications so that they only open the queues they need, that will help.
