I do not remember, while reading MQ somewhere I came across a terminology - server queue. I know cluster queue, but never heard of it and could not find while searching afterward. Can someone please clarify whether there is anything called server queue and what it is?

It's a queue (qlocal) used by a server application.

That means, it resides on the gateway server is that correct? In what sense do we need to use it?

it means that it's an input queue to an application acting as a server.
