Hi All,
Hope you can help me clearing this question
Environment:
WMQV6, WMBV6, DB28.2 and Adapter(JDBC) Framework 2.6.
I am trying to design an interface between two database applications that are on Oracle 11i and IBM AS400(Ver 4.1.1). This is kind of a database sync interface. I need to get the updates from AS400 system and send them over to Oracle 11i for updation. I have the following questions regarding this interface.
1. Is Oracle 11i supported with WMB?( I saw in the manual and in this forum that 10i supported but I did not see anything on 11i. Please correct me if I am wrong)
2. Is AS400 Version 4.1 is supported with WMB to access its database?(I read in the manual and in this forum that only AS400 V5R1 or V5R2 are supported with WMB. Please also correct me if I am wrong)
3. If the above two or either of them are not supported, is there any other way that I can work around to implement this interface?
Please share your thoughts.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think 11i is supported by Broker.
If it's a strict database mapping, and you already have the JDBC adapter functional, and the JDBC adapter is supported for both databases...
I would use the JDBC adapter as much as possible.
I guess you need to build a flow to map between the two BOs, though. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks a lot Jeff. Does that mean JDBC Adapter can be used with Oracle 11i and AS400 4.1 versions also. Please let me know.
Thanks.. |
