Websphere Administrator

My client a major International Law Firm, seeks Websphere Administrator to implement, maintain and troubleshoot Websphere Application Server, Portal Server, and WCM. Minimum 3 years experience required in installing, upgrading, and maintaining WAS, Portal, DB2 and Unix/Linux systems. MS Windows Server, SQL Database Administration, Apache/Tomcat, and MS IIS skills a plus. Must have good communication and documentation skills. The candidate is able to work in a team environment, work independently and proactively as needed to identify problems and find solutions.

Technical Qualifications:
Over three (3) years as a full-time WebSphere Administrator/Senior Engineer.
Expert knowledge and experience with Websphere Application server, Websphere Portal software and Websphere Content Manager including installation, configuration, architecture, software upgrades, application deployment and upgrades, and best practices, in a standalone and clustered environment.
Ability to recommend best practices for Websphere Infrastructure, architecture and standards, including support for business continuity and disaster recovery.
DBA experience (DB2, MS SQL) related to application server support desirable, including replication, stored procedures, triggers, and database connectivity.
Strong working knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory and related utilities.
Will respond to production support escalations. Manage resolution of test and production Websphere issues, including break-fix, performance tuning recommendations, and project support.
Ability to work independently, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
Apache/Tomcat experience, IIS experience, Java and WebSphere certifications desirable.

Salary to $115k (can go higher for the right person, commensurate w/experience)
