Hi all,
We've installed 5.3 + efix4 + MQTNS update + patch2. Want to use $ZTCS instead of $ZTC0. Therefore I put "TransportName=$ZTCS" in qmproc.ini but it doesn't work. I've tried DEFINE's in PATHCOM as in 5.1 but it still tries to open a connection in $ZTC0 (which doesn't work).
We are running H06.07.01.
Any tips would be good. Thanks. |

Hi
Have you tried altering the server mqs-tcplis00 with "ARGLIST -t,TCP,-m,<qmqrname>,-g,$ZTCS" ?
Did you get your channels up with default $ztc0? We have same kind of problems (same OS version), we can't get channels up either. IBM is investigating the problem. |

Can you set the TCP process name on the channel definition as well on the Itanium?
ie CONNAME($ZTCS.<ip address>(<port>))

If you put the TCP/IP process name as the first part of the CONNAME you get a gethostbyname error. I had to change all of my channel definitions to remove the TCP/IP process names from the CONNAMEs. I have had luck setting the TCP/IP process names using the TransportName variable in the qmproc.ini and also in the arglist for the MQS-TCPLIS00 server class. Here's an example - alter mqs-tcplis00,arglist -t,tcp,-m,MQUEMGR,-g,$ZB214,-p,1421. |

And as long as you are modifying the PATHWAY server examine the others and distribute the CPU workload away from CPU 0 and 1. The IBM folk seem hung up on 0 and 1 !
