Hi,
I am not able to restart my queue manger when i try to modify the mq configuration for XA.
MQ 5.2 and Oracle 8.1.7 is installed on Win 2K Server.
Fallowing are the values i have supplied in the Resources option of the Queue Manger properties.
Name : Test1
SWitchFile : C:\commit\ORASAWITD.dll
XAOpenString : Acc=scott/tiger,SesTm=100,DB=Test1
ThreadOfControl=PROCESS
I'm suspecting some thing wrong in XAOpenString syntax.
Please advice.

Is there any error logged into your MQSeries log file? Try specifying other parameters in XAOpenString (GPwd, MAxCur, ...). Chapter 12 in MQSeries System Administration manual talks about Oracle Configuration on Windows and Unix platform.

Hi,
I tried in about the same environment and got the following :
If the QM is started from Explorer or Services, the trace file shows that the swich file module couldn't be found.
If the QM is started from a command window, the switch file module is found, but I got a message
AMQ7605 The XA resource manager XXXXX has returned an unexpected return code -5, when called for xa_open.
This appends in the tmiOpenResourceMgr module.
Last thing, the Administration guide (ch14) relates mainly about Unix, not Windows except for the qm.ini (registry) stanza. Is there anything else to do to implement XA on W2K ?.
