Application System Manager

Target salary of $95,000.00 / year, and is located in Pittsburgh.

Supervise MQ and Web Administration staff (9 full time employees) supporting MQ Series and J2EE-based Web Hosting platform shared by 100+ eCommerce applications, serving more than 1 billion pagehits/month. Ensures high quality, 7x24x365 operating environment, which includes on-call support. Makes decisions on personnel actions (hiring, terminations, promotions, etc.). Provides management leadership and career development for a team of technology professionals. Assesses team performance and recommends adjustments as needed. Manages technology expenses associated with area of responsibility. Prepares and develops technology related project plans. with the following responsibilities: Accountable for the integrity and service levels of the hosting platform. Responsible for monitoring, managing and forecasting capacity and maintaining compliance with operational policies and best practices. Responsible for managing crisis situations to minimize downtime and coordinating problem resolution. Responsible for provisioning software/hardware for new applications..

Hardware, Software and Language Skills Required Are: 10+ years IT systems professional with 5 or more years experience supporting/developing J2EE web applications and MQ technologies on Linux/UNIX platforms. Qualified candidates will possess strong team leadership, technical analysis, and communication skills and be highly organized and well motivated. Computer Science degree and PMI certification preferred.
