Are you aware that MQExplorer only works with a specific version of eclipse?

Well... actually, MQExplorer works fairly well in several different versions of Eclipse. It runs just fine in 3.1.2, for example.

Things to check are for the existance of an "eclipse" process, or a "javaw" process in Task Manager.

The next thing to try is running "strmqcfg" from a command prompt, and see what happens.

Wait. It worked BEFORE you rebooted, and then didn't work?

Or didn't work before, but did work AFTER?

Hi,

Check the eclipse log which is generated in the corresponding eclipse directory

It will give you more idea about why it is happening.

When ever you try to start the eclipse it will create a .(dot)tmp file, and will be get deleted automatically when you close the explorer.

So please check the above 2 things and let us know

Thanks and Regards

Also, there is a .log file in the metadata directory of the workspace.

For MQExplorer, this is <user's home directory>\Application Data\IBM\MQ Explorer\metadata

Again, though, what happens when you run strmqcfg from the command prompt?

Same problem!
However im not runnig a standard version of XP, it has been modified to fit our organisation and i have figured out that just this is the problem.
After a reboot alot of parameters are modified and cleared unlik a "standard" XP.

I didnt realize this until now and this topic was all unnecessary..

I am also having this problem. My winXP
IBM WebSphere MQ, Version 6.0 installation just stopped working and I don't know why.

When I try to run strmqcfg -d commandLine I get:
"AMQ7798: Unable to locate 'Eclipse'"

Is there some env variable that I don't have set?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi

Check that your Eclipse installed perfectly or not.

it might get corrupted due to some or other reasons

or re-install the Eclipse SDK once again.

Thanks and Regards

How do I do this? I have a number of eclipse SDk installations. How/where does MQ look for Eclipse?

I tried to copy the configuration from a seperate (working) copy and installed eclipse 3.0.1 to C:\eclipse\eclipse and am now getting a different error: "could not create the java virtual machine"
Unfortunately, I think this is getting further from the solution rather than closer...

thanks,
Lee
