Due to some hardware problem we are forced to clone one LPAR to another LPAR, which is having 2 Repository Queue Managers and 2 Brokers. The network/operation team saying that there will not be any logical difference, and the network ip will be same as the old LPAR.
I just want to know that from all you, is anybody have the experience like above, and it works fine after the clone.
I am here worried about the cluster.

If all of your cluster repositories are being moved, then you will have some issues during the transition - because the cluster repositories won't be available! But you might survive just fine if nobody tries to access a queue that their partial repository doesn't know about.
Otherwise, as long as this is a low level migration - remounting the same diskspace on new hardware - and not a high level migration - recreating queue managers and brokers - then you should generally be okay. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

we have the another cluster repository in different server, I can direct all the messages to this queue manager.
If I move all the file system to the new lpar, my queue manger should have to start without any problem and the members of the cluster should have to connect without any issues.
Note: 2 Repository Queue Managers is not for the same cluster. |

Jeff gave you all you need to know. What is the specific problem you are worried about that hasn't already been covered by Jeffs answer? |
