Hi all,
I have MQSeries 5.2 and ma88 5.2.1 on Solaris 7. I set up all classpath and LD path. When I ran MQIVP comming vith ma88, I got the folloing failure:
mqm@brokerref1: /opt/mqm/java/samples/base> hostname
brokerref1
mqm@brokerref1: /opt/mqm/java/samples/base> pwd
/opt/mqm/java/samples/base
mqm@brokerref1: /opt/mqm/java/samples/base> r java
java -cp $CLASSPATH:. MQIVP
MQSeries for Java Installation Verification Program

Please enter the IP address of the MQ server :brokerref1
Please enter the port to connect to : (1414)

Failure: Missing software, may be MQSeries, or VBROKER_ADM variable
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/resource/ResourceException
Is any one knows how to fix it or what may be wrong?

I think that you are missing the connector.jar from your classpath. I believe that it is mentioned in the readme but not in the manual. |

You are 100% right. Once I add connector.jar, it runs OK.
