Hi:
I am a new entrant into the MQSeries world. But I may be working on MQSeries on Tandem NSK. I was wondering whether MQS is on OSS or on Guardian. Would any of you please clarify to me this. Also it mentions use of Pathway, and also that it doesn't have a GUI. The only alternative I find to this is using SCOBOL for front-end to manage the configuration parameters. Is my guess right?
Is their any problem on having MQS on OSS? Pls. clarify. |

MQSeries is running on Guardian, native and non-native compiling is available. In other words, this is not a simple porting to NSK/OSS, even more a robust, NSK specific application: co-operation with TM and Pathway subsystems.

Right, but this SCOBOL interface is more convenient than RUNMQSC.

I hadn't test it, but I don't find any problem in this duo (MQ and OSS). For programmers, MQSeries is only an API, so your tasks are:
1. to include header(s) for compiler and
2. to define library for linker
I'd used other Guardian API from OSS program without any problem, that's why I am hopeful.
