hi,
I am looking for a way to improve the performance of my message flows. I found out that adding additional instances is one of the possibilities to achieve that.

The documentation says:
..
Additional Instances
Specifies the number of additional threads that the broker can use to service the message flow. These additional threads are CREATED ONLY if there are sufficient input messages....

And here my question is:
does somebody know if those additional instances are destroyed after the processing complete? And why? .. because my observation shows that they are not

They won't be destroyed immediately.

They may be destroyed later.

And they're certainly destroyed if you stop and start the message flow.

Yes, i found out that when restarting the EG the additional instances disappear.
But is it possible to tune up the broker to destroy the additional instances faster?
