I am running a sample QueueSender (puts a msg on queue) program which I can run on Win XP Pro SP1 machine without any issue, but on Win XP Pro SP2, I am unable to run it.

BuildType: IKAP - (Production)
From IBM support site for MQ 6.0, Win XP Pro SP1 or later is supported. I just doubt whether SP2 is causing this trouble, any thoughts ??? It throws follwoing error, has anyone seen it, any fix for this.

| Yeah, tried with fixpack2 as well, but problem still persists |

| The problem is now resolved, I am not sure how it was causing problem, but machine was having McAfee antivrus suite+firewall running, looks like that was somehow corrupting tcpip packets, anyone more knowledgable can throw some more light. Now I have un-installed McAfee suite, and installed Norton antivirus and ZoneAlarm firewall and things are back to working i.e. I am able to run same QueueSender program and able to put messages on queue manager. PS I did not change in any setting on QMGR. |

Could it be that MCAfee firewall was blocking the port?
