We are on WMQI 2.1. We are using LOCAL_TIMEZONE to get the time zone information. I have to quetion

1. What will be the impact of new day light saving which will come into effect on MARCH 2007 on the LOCAL_TIMEZONE ? Just for a background genrally day light saving start from fisrt sunday of April, but in 2007 it will start on 2nd sunday of March(i.e. on 11 March). My question is basically on 11th of march LOCAL_TIMEZONE will returing -04:00 instead of
-05:00.

2. Also in WMB 6.0 mqsiservice -t returns the time zone information what is equivalent of this coimmmand in 2.1.

2.1 is out of support.

That means that you can't open a PMR to find out what the affect of DST changes will be.

It means you can't open a PMR to fix anything that breaks when DST changes.

You should have been migrating to at least v5 sometime around March of 2006 at the latest.

For what it's worth the site I'm on is still using 2.1 (there are non-MQ problems regarding moving forward that will take another 12 months to resolve - don't ask!) and they use GMT for all broker actions because "the time zone thing's a bit fragile".

Urban myth or experience? Don't know.

Sorry to be of such limited help.
