Hi,
Question - How do you send SSL encrypted messages from the HTTP Request node in V5? I have sucessfully got the incoming side sorted using the IE01 support pac via Tomcat server and that deals fine with unwrapping the SSL encrypted incoming message and putting it to the flow but how do you do it the other way round as in sending an SSL encrypted request? The HTTP request node won't allow the HTTPS url so other than writing another servlet for the Tomcat container to take the request and encrypt it via the servlet am I stuck? Thanks. Will be glad to go to V6 and have this sorted

Hi,

The HTTPRequest node does not support SSL in V5. As you noticed, this was one of the new features of the HTTPRequest node in V6. One possible alternative for you maybe to write a Java Plugin node and write your own Java SSL code there? However, I have not tried this.

You can use the good old stunnel (www.stunnel.org) for tunneling the incoming HTTPS requests.

tibor, thanks for the reply but have sorted the incoming side that wasn't a problem using the IE01 support pac but need to SSL wrap the http request from the Broker going outbound. It would seem from lookig about that a servlet running in the same Tomcat container is the only way forward.
