Hi,

I found that the 'pass all' option cannot pass the context information from input message to output message. The context information has been overwritten by MQSI service id and application name.

However, if I set the option to 'Pass Identity', the user Id of input message can propagate the output message.

Anyone knows the behaviour or setting for 'Pass All' option ?

many thanks

Lewis

Lewis, I think this is a bug in MQSI. I have raised a PMR for this before but to my knowledge has never been fixed. I use Set All context instead and make sure that I propogate the relevant MQMD values through my message flow.

granthmuk,

Did you ever get any resolution on this 'bug'? Currently testing a flow after migrating to V2.1 CSD2 and am seeing this symptom. WMQI output remote queue definition is being rejected by CICS on the mainframe due to authentication failures because WMQI service id of 'wmqi' is being set in the message header instead of being set to the client programs' user id which placed the message on the WMQI input queue.

Regards,
Phil

Phil,

As of CSD2, the above bug related to "Pass all" context is not fixed. If this option is used, it will wipe of original data set in MQMD.ApplIdentityData field.

To get original User-id set by client application, change your MQOutput node's property to 'Pass Identity'. This will retain your original settings.
