Hi,
I have using the FileProxyNode provided by WMB File Extender. The Message Flow is as follows.
1. MQInput Node
2. FileProxyNode
3. Mapping Node
4. Compute Node
5. FileOutput Node
I have also put some trace nodes for debugging between the above nodes.
The message flow receives a message from MQ Queue and after processing some text is written to a file on the file system. I am able to get the message through from beginning to the end. But I observed the following.
When I put a single message on the queue, the broker puts some arbitrary number (say "x") of messages on the same queue. These messages have only the header part and no body. Moreover, the header is similar to the header of my message. Only the timestamp is different.
Consequently, after the output file is generated for my single message, the message flow keeps executing for messages that were put by the broker. No Output file is created for these new messages, but I don't understand as to why does the broker put these extra messages.
On my machine, the broker put only a few messages. On my colleagues machine, it put a huge number of messages.
Thanks & Appreciate if you could help me in debugging this problem. |

Hi,
The "empty" messages you are seeing are control messages from the fileproxy node. They control the output file creation and the completion of the UOW.
Only one of these messages should occur. For the case where many are occurring there is a fix being developed as we speak. Send me your e-mail details and I'll get you a test version of it as soon as it is ready.

Hello KT76,
The fix is going thru testing as we speak. It will be combined with another fix that is also on its way related to old message cleanup. Then I'll put them on the website for general availability. In the meantime if you send me your e-mail details I can send you the test version of this if you need it urgently.
Regards,

Hi Dave,
I understand the fix is for V5. Is there a fix for V6 too?
If yes how do I get it?
Thanks
