Is it possible to create queue manager on a remote MQ Series server machine?
What needs to be installed in the local system from where the command has to be fired.
Its all in windows platform and Websphere MQ 5.3 is being used.

Some kind of remote desktop functionality & access to a user id in the mqm group, able to issue "crtmqm" commands. Clearly could be scripted.
Once it's created & listening the queues and other objects can obviously be done from a remote queue manager in the normal way. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

In v 5.3 on Windows, it's ... easier... not to use crtmqm and use amqmdain or the MQExplorer.
I vaguely remember that if you connect an MMC to the remote MQServices, you can create a queue manager that way - without needing Terminal Services or RDP.
But the best bet is just to use TerminalServices/RDP to do everything "locally". _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
