Hi alll
I'm new in MQ and i have the following problem:
When I starts a Queuemanager using strmqm, the queue managerstarts ok, but the service runs under my user, then, when i logoff, the queue manager stops.
Reading de IBM documentation I try starts the Queue manager using:
amqdain qmgr start IPSAQM.
But, i receive the following error:
AMQ8118: Websphere MQ queue manager does not exist
I try set the start Queue manager auto into MQ Explorer, but in the queue manager proprierts, starts does not exist
I'm using:
Websphere MQ 6, Windows 2000 server Service Pack 4
Tks in advance |

Before you can start the qmgr it has to exist.
Look up the reference on crtmqm or use the GUI...
dspmq will give you a list of existing qmgrs on the box...

fjb,
When I run dspmq, I have the follow results:
QMNAME(DEV.IPSAQM) STATUS(Running)
QMNAME(QM_scrbbrdevvcp001) STATUS(Running)
I can get and put messages, but the Queue manager stay running only when I stay logged on Windows.
I add strmqm as a Service in Windows to queue manager DEV.IPSAQM starts as default, but I believe that is not correct, once MQ Server have a service to do this task.
Tks again |

Did you notice that your command 'amqdain qmgr start IPSAQM', the queue manager name is different than the qmgr name displayed with dspmq command QMNAME(DEV.IPSAQM) STATUS(Running)? |
