Hi all,
I have installed installed MQServer on whole new AIX boxes earlier. But this time, on one of the boxes which has WAS already installed on it, we have two MQ files sets already installed:
mqm.base.runtime 5.3.0.7 A F WebSphere MQ Runtime for
mqm.java.rte 5.3.0.7 A F WebSphere MQ Java Client and
(/****/app/WebSphere6/AppServer)
I think these are MQ Client file sets(corect me if I'm wrong). Now can I install the MQServer file sets on top this one directly? Or do I need to un-install these before I do it.

Hi
As far as i know that,
Hope you are installing MQ 5.3 only,
as per IBM, there is no need to un-install the components that you mentioned (correct me if i'm wrong).
mqm.base.runtime 5.3.0.7 this is a mandatory component, mainly for application development.
mqm.java.rte 5.3.0.7 this is mainly needed for messaging using java.
