Hi All,
I got a question from my client !!!
what is the Maximum amount of memory that your message broker can hold???
apart from the queue depth (100 MB).
Env: Win2000; Message Broker 6.0 ; Message Queue 5.3. _________________ Urao

This depends on the number of execution groups.
I've seen max about 300 Mb used by one execution group, and about 2 Gb used by broker with 9 execution groups. |

To my knowledge,
On a Windows Machine, Maximum amount of memory that message broker can hold is 2GB.
If that limit is exceeded, there is a definite chance of failure. |

It obviously changes if you are using 64bit execution groups on a 64bit machine.
Remember that the only processes that really use memory on a Broker are the Execution Groups, and they are each individual DataFlowEngine processes - so they can each use different amounts of memory. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
