We are connecting to a client with a requester channel and have to start manually. What parm would the client have to change on there side so when a message is ready to transmit it starts the requester channel on our side?

Back to the basics!!!

The whole point of a requester channel is that you get to decide when it's active.

If you want the other side to decide when it's active, then you can use a receiver channel, and they can trigger the sender channel on their side.

I tried setting to AUTO and to 0, but I still have to start manually, which is confusing to me....

Back to the basics!!!

Instead of using a requester/server pair look into using a requester/sender pair....
