the workspace is already in use error means that there exists a .lock file in the .metadata directory of the workspace. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

In Windows?
I think it's <Documents and Settings>\<user>\Application Data\IBM\MQ Explorer _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I routinely run v5.x of MQExplorer using "Run as", but I have never succeeded with the new 6.0 Eclipse Explorer.
If someone figures this out, let me know. I had to create multiple local logins on my desktop; then, logout & login as a different user.
Very annoying.

By default contact admin on windows does not reset the APPDATA environment variable, this is used by eclipse to determine where the workspace data should be written.
Each user will require a different workspace location to be able to run the explorer.
To achieve this write a command script that sets the APPDATA directory to somewhere new that is writeable, then have this script call strmqcfg. _________________ --
