I am unable to remove the default configuration in Websphere Message Broker Toolkit...both thru the wizard and manually. I know it is because the database has been deleted. Does anyone know how to force the removal of the configuration? I uninstalled MQ, MB, DB2, and Toolkit and then reinstalled but when I re-run the default config wizard it says it exists on my computer and cannot be removed. Any suggestions are much appreciated. |

i thik you just have to remove it from the tool kit .. go to broker admin perspective and expand the domain connections tab. in that you will find the file which is ur default configuration. just delete that file.
I hope this is what you mean.

Thanks for the reply. Although I was unable to find it initial research, I found a page that described the problem I was having without much detail. Just in case anyone else has this problem, here is what I had to do.
1) Catalog the default database
2) Drop the default database
3) Re-create a "dummy" default database with the same name/username/PW etc
4) Specify the ODBC connection under Services
5) Manually remove the configuration as specified in
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r0m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ae20200_.htm
After completing this, I was able to run the create default configuration wizard (which was previously disabled) to re-create the default config.
Hope this helps anyone who deletes the database before removing the brokers. |
