Hi Guys,

I am installing MB 5.0. I started from reading the system requirements. I have the following software installed

0. Microsoft XP with sp 1
1 DB2 8.1 fp2
2 MDAC 2.7 SP1
3 JRE 1.3.1+
4 MQSeries 5.3 CSD 12
5 IBM Agent Controller 5.0.1( I know i need to instatll 5.0.2 but I could not find)

when I started the mqsilunchpad.exe it detected all software installed correctly but against the mq, it say partial install

Also, it gave following error before starting installation.

Unresolved dependency: MDAC prerequisite has an unresolved dependency on Microsoft Data Access Component Version 2.7 sp 1

Unresolved dependency: Java prerequisite has an unresolved dependency on Websphere MQ version 5.3 Java Messaging Component

Questions:

Why the mqsilunchpad detects the mq installation as partial?

Where can I find the correct version of the AC? ( downloaded from the link I found somewhere in this forum - forgot)

What are the dependencies error message?

Does this cause problem running the systems afterward?

How can I overcome these problem?

I am posting this after reading and trying a lot my self. Please help to find the solution to these problems.

Thanks in advance

You didn't install the Java feature of MQ. Broker won't work with this. You can rerun the MQ installer, and do a "modify" and choose custom and add the java feature.

You can ignore the MDAC warning.

The RAC is available at the same link that has the fixpack.

The Two Errors are common on WinXp Platforms and Do Not Affect the brokers functionality/performance in any way.
