Java MQ API does not provide a mechanism to do MQPUT1 explicitly...
how to achieve it using
public void put(MQMessage message) throws MQException
Other procedural api(s) provide mechanism to call MQPUT1 function..but java api of mq does not.
Any pointers..or code will help. I saw there is an object putMessageOptions but not sure how to use it.
thanks in advance

There's:
Quote:
put
public void put(String qName, MQMessage msg) throws MQException;
Puts a single message on to a (possibly unopened) queue. If a send exit has been specified it processes the message before it is sent.
Parameters
* qName - the name of the queue to which the message is put.
* msg - the message to be sent.
Exceptions
* MQException - if the WebSphere MQ put call fails.

But if put() throws an exception, why don't you think put1() would laso throw an exception? What exception are you getting?
