Does anyone know of a way to determine the last time a queue was used? I suppose one way is to look at the modification date/time of the physical q file itself. What I'd really like to see is some statistics.
Thanks in advance,

Define "used"?
Opened? Had message movement?
If you want statistics, then you can use RESET QUEUE STATISTICS, or Accounting&Statistics.
But you have to do stuff to enable/capture that data. You can't ask the queue manager "how many messages were put and got from this queue six months ago?" _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

What good would resetting the statistics do me? I want to know how to do the capture part.
Thanks,

Yes. That monitoring tool, just like every other monitoring tool, uses RESET QUEUE STATISTICS, and maybe statistics and accounting.
And it is free. Except when it breaks. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
