Hi,

I always get the 'MQSTR ' for the format... Am I getting it from the wrong place? I know that the format for messages wiht rfh2 should be 'MQHRF2 '
and that's what i see in the format tab of the MQExplorer.

Is there some other property that I have missed or.. confused?

Read the "Using Java" manual. It clearly states where it (the message) is reading the information from (RFH2 or MQMD) and which supersedes which.
