What servers are you talking about? Admin? Execution?

Perhaps you could give a more detailed explanation of what you are attempting.

Hi John

I hope this description would be suffice.

By WorkFlow Server I mean WorkFlow Installation.
Requriment is that incase the machine on which WorkFlow System is Running goes down , we can transfer the subsequent workflow request to other Workflow System Running on second machine. (There is IBM Product which does this)

I suppose to keep the process, work item & all other
things same ,Sharing of RunTime DB is required.

I didn't find any such options where we can use other RT DB ,while installing the WorkFlow on NT machine.

Is there any way to achive this.

Thanks
Mark

Mark;

I assume you are talking about HACMP. I think you would be better off asking this question on the IBM forum... I don't know that I've seen anything here relating to this type of installation.

I know that I know nothing about it.

GOOD LUCK

Hi,
I think You can configure two workflowservers (two physical m/c s) which points to the same runtime databse, but i think both the servers should be in the same mqseries cluster and belong to the same system.
Normally client concentrators are used to connect to either of the servers which will share the load between the two servers.
hope this helps

HI,

U will 've to install DB2 on a seperate m/c. DB2 client should be installed on the two Workflow server m/c s.(Installing DB2 on one of the workflow server m/c s doesn't make sense since that will become a single point of failure because if that particular m/c is unavailabe(crashes) there is no use for the other workflow server, i mean the databse is not availabe in that case). The two workflow servers will point to the single DB2 database ( I think u can go for multiple DB2 servers if u r using AIX, but i am not sure about Sun solaris).
There will be only one system group(say FMCGRP) and one cluster (say FMCGRP).
Apart from this u need to go for the client concentrator set up (ideally more than one m/c if u 've multiple workflow server m/c s). In the Client concentrators m/cs u will 've to install MQSeries server and MQWorkflow client , again in the same cluster FMCGRP.
Now on the client m/c s (this could be u r application servers) u will install MQSeries client and MQWorkflow client which will point to the client concentrators.
A detailed instruction for setting up the client concentrator is given in the IBM MQWorkflow Installation guide --red book

hope this helps.
