7017 error code while starting QM

I am facing 7017 error code while starting the Q manager,from the redbook I found that the QM can be recovered after creating a dummy QM and copying the header logs and trasaction logs on to the corrupted QM.Can any one tell me ,where are these logs found.Help required URGENT

What platform?

If Unix ...the location of the log files are defined in the qm.ini (which itself is in /var/mqm/qmgrs/YOURQM/qm.ini ...

it usually defaults to /var/mqm/log/YOURQM ....

In windows, the registry defines the location....

hi the platform is windows 2000 and the mq is 5.3 with csd 07
