Hi,
I am installing WMQ/WMB 6.0 on my WinXP and getting problems when creating the configuration manager:
mqsicreateconfigmgr WBRK6_DEFAULT_CM -i <MYUSERID> -a <MYPASSWD> -q WBRK6_DEFAULT_QUEUE_MANAGER
BIP8081 An exception was caught while processing the response message for the command, 'Unable to format an ImbException message for output, ImbException message number is BIP8069'.
I am using WMB Console for it.
Do you have any idea?
PS. There is nothing created since the startup is telling me:
"Starting the WMB Configuration Manager WBRK6_DEFAULT_CM
BIP8013E: Component does not exist.
A component may only be used if it has first been created.
No user action required." DS |

Show the full output of mqsicreateconfigmgr.
What else is logged in the Event Viewer? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Before I had 6.0.0.1 but now upgraded to 6.0.0.2 and gets a little different error, below is the complete in/output that I have performed:
Code: |

And in the Event Log there is:
Code: |
( utility ) The Configuration Manager's repository is not available for use.
The Configuration Manager was not able to gain exclusive access to its internal repository. Either another process already has exclusive access to the repository (for example, if another instance of the Configuration Manager is running), or the user ID under which the Configuration Manager was started does not have the required authority to access the repository.
Ensure that the Configuration Manager is not already running, and that no other process is running that may have acquired exclusive access to the repository. Also, ensure that the Configuration Manager's user ID has the required authority to access the database; the user at least needs to be a member of the mqm and mqbrkrs groups, and on |
I have a network user Id and am member of the following groups mqm, mqbrkrs and Administrators.
I am quite new at this and would be happy if you experts could help me out. |

Did you log out and log back on after putting your user in the right groups? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Yes, I have done reboots several times.
But I think I have found a solution for it.
I did a uninstall, reboot and removed all the content in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IBM\MQSI and then installed/patched. After that the commands went fine.
I think that something happend wrong when I removed the broker/configuration manager/queue manager and then tried to re-create the same setup again (same names etc).
If I want to remove the broker/configure manager/queue manager, such as a total reset (it's a development machine) how should I do this? In what order should I remove things to make it clean and working re-setup? |
