I am trying to use the ikeyman tool to create and manage ssl certificate store on linux. I use the command gsk7cmd but run into the problem:

The Java Cryptographic Extension(JCE) files were not found.
Please check that the JCE files have been installed in the correct directory
.

I found a link(http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21213418) on the IBM site that offers a solution to this problem but this did not work for me.

My environment is as follows:

MQ 5.3 CSD07 on Linux
Java 1.4.2_04

JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_04/

PATH=/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_04/bin/:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/home/mqm/bin:/usr/local/ibm/gsk7/classes/gsk7cls.jar:/usr/local/ibm/gsk7/classes/cfwk.zip:/opt/mqm/java/lib/connector.jar:/opt/mqm/java/lib/com.ibm.mq.jar::/opt/mqm/samp/java/base:

CLASSPATH=/usr/local/ibm/gsk7/classes/gsk7cls.jar:/usr/local/ibm/gsk7/classes/cfwk.zip:/home/mqm/utils/3INGs.jar:/opt/mqm/java/lib/com.ibm.mqbind.jar:/opt/mqm/java/lib/com.ibm.mq.jar:/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_04/lib/:/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_04/lib/rt.jar:/opt/mqm/java/lib/com.ibm.mqjms.jar:/opt/mqm/java/lib/connector.jar:/opt/mqm/java/lib/fscontext.jar:/opt/mqm/java/lib/rmm.jar:/usr/java/j2re1.4.2_04/lib/jce.jar:/opt/mqm/samp/java/base

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/mqm/java/lib

The solution on the IBM site (and MQ sys admin manual) suggests having JAVA_HOME=/opt/mqm/ssl/jre but this is not where java is normally instaled.

Any IDEAs?

Thankx

You have to use the java that's in /opt/mqm/ssl/jre. It's got a different classes directory.

These are the MQ packages I installed. I have got no ssl directory in /opt/mqm: consequently no java on /opt/mqm/ssl/jre.

MQSeriesSDK-U496732-5.3.0-7
MQSeriesServer-5.3.0-2
MQSeriesJava-5.3.0-2
MQSeriesRuntime-5.3.0-2
MQSeriesSamples-5.3.0-2
MQSeriesSDK-5.3.0-2
MQSeriesServer-U496732-5.3.0-7
MQSeriesJava-U496732-5.3.0-7
MQSeriesRuntime-U496732-5.3.0-7

Am I missing a package to install?
