I have a similar issue to the posting about backing up EG's.

I'm not really concerned with backing up the EG's, it is simple enough to re-create them using scripts when you recreate the broker.
However,
In this particular instance, the broker is being upgraded (i.e. moved from a single node to a MSCS Cluster) and has quite a few EG's and many of the EG's have text in the description fields.
I'd like to be able to export these fields so that I can add them to the EG's when they are created on the new broker.

Any thoughts?

CMP API has a getLongDescription() method on the EG method.

I guess I meant "on the EG object" not on the "EG method".
