Hi,

I have an MQ installation where I'm not allowed to run the command server, and hence cannot make use of PCF messages . I need a way of monitoring the channel status using the standard java API.

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Kevin

sorta makes remote admin a little tough huh? How do you backup the machine (ie saveqmgr?).

Two options: (1) write a (perl) script to do a mqsc dis chs(*) and read the results of that, or (2) mqinq on the contact admin queue to see if its open and curdpeth is going down....
