Hi everyone,
I am a new comer, and also a new learner for WMQ.
However, i've come across a problem to determine with within present project.
As u may know, for CICS or IMS connections to MQ, CICS & IMS sysprogs have to define MQ in their subsystems for the connections. There is nothing to define in MQ for such connections. Therefore, If we've set up MQ and CICS/IMS bridges(connections) in Mainframe and we wanna do an IPL, we have to shutdown all these subsystems in following sequence:IMS/CICS -> WMQ, and after IPL, need to start up these by WMQ -> CICS/IMS. Otherwise, need manual startup for connections (from CICS or IMS) will need to handle and customize.
Some years ago, CICS new version has a feature that even though CICS starts up before MQ, once MQ is ready, CICS can detect (not sure how) and establish the link, Hence, the dependency of the startup sequence between CICS and MQ has gone.

Now, my question is, IMS sysprog told me that IMS can do the same now. This is a feature in MQ V6 or IMS new version, he doesn't know(me either).
On Sunday, we upgraded MQ V6 and the Application test was done ok, and there was an IPL right after that change. After the IPL, IMS was up a few seconds before MQ, the bridge was not up until client complains. In the investigation, MQ has security error

We suspect MQ tries to send a signal to IMS for the link setup.
